This review is for the French Horn book only. All others get 5 stars.I am a beginning band teacher and have three French Horn students this year. I was exited to have some simple music for them to play. However, this book is unusable for beginners. It is an octave too low for their ability level. (ex: F three ledger lines below the staff.)EDIT: I am changing my rating from two stars to five. I contacted the company about the unusability of the French horn version and they created a higher octave book within a few days! Now French horn players have a choice of octaves. This is definitely a great company who listens to feedback.

As a teacher, I love the size of the staffs and notes in this book. But, it has no fingering chart or diagram of the flute in it, no reminder of note values or rests. I wish these were included! It is 70 simple songs which are great for beginning flute students. If you are looking for just a practice book of songs, this would be a great choice.

This is a wonderful book ! I have been teaching Private trumpet lessons here in Florida for the past 36 years and have been looking for a book like this all of that time ! This book is perfect to get a new student playing melodies and reading musicat a very early stage. it is excellent ! Previously I had to write my own elementarysimple songs for beginning students to augment the material that is usually contained in the elementary method books. This book saves a teacher a lot of time.I love it ! Next I'll be ordering the elementary duet book. I can't wait to get it !Great job Larry ! keep em comin ! Bob Roma (Trumpet Teacher) Palm Bay, Florida

I have learned to play more than ten songs from this book, I love this book, and planned to purchase many more of these.

This is a great beginners book for anyone wanting to play the trumpet.

No excuses not to practice here. The book includes the same songs twice: once with the names of the notes visible, and again without the names of the keys visible. Beginning students can start playing right away. No more of "I don't know that note," or "I don't remember what note that is." When my student is able to read music well, I will cover the notes to help him speed up memory of music notes. However, in the meantime, he is playing and enjoying the experience! Worth the money.

Daughter started taking flute in band she's enjoying using this book at home.

pretty good--especially for the money. just as described!
