Goblins again. Goblins next time, as well. Goblins. Goblins. More Goblins.It's as brilliant as the first novel, and just as entertaining. People will try to change our Goblin Slayer, but even so - his priorities remain the same and his Goblin-slaying remains a constant work of art. Recommendable to anyone who enjoyed the first novel and knows what they're getting into - some of the art is a little risque, and some of the story's plot seems to incorporate this, alongside bloody, massacred Goblins and other strange creatures, but if you haven't seen the first novel - I can't say going straight to the second is wise.I look forward to the third's release. A-Goblin-Slaying we must go!~Ah, and to a certain extent; the amount of maidens falling into our Slayer's neglected harem continues to grow. Be warned - he's denser than even the most dedicated dwarves.
When first was exposed to mr Kagyu's imaginary world I was drawn to his Tolkien references sprinkled here and there. They are appealing to any true lover of fantasy in general and to rpg players in particular. When the second book reveals the mentor of the protagonist to be a follower of the actual legend of Bilbo Baggins I found myself completly enthralled. Bilbo Lives!
Loved the 1st Volume? Will not be disappointed with the sequel that is Vol. 2. The interactions with the characters, the views on who Goblin Slayer is, what he means, and how much impact he has on people becomes noticeably mindblowing as you, the reader, become enthralled with this light novel. My only regret is at the speed i read this novel that leaves me with a satisfying smile for a story that I cannot wait to buy the Manga (Even if it might make my wallet weep).To the author, my thanks for the smiles, the horrors, the thrills, and triumph that shows how much work you have placed in this series. Please don't stop and keep it going!
If your enjoy vol 1 then this will not disappoint. Another quest involving goblin slaying. I enjoy the strategic way how the party plans to attack or get out of tough situations, everyone contributes. I kinda like the sword maiden character. Best girl contender? Then again, the MC only have goblins on his mind.Can't wait for the 3rd book!
If the previous volume was a bunch of assorted quests that showcased Goblin Slayer's word and his actions on the frontier, then this one has him taking a single quest with his companions from the last volume. There are goblins afoot and who better than GS to deal with them in the most effective way possible.
If you enjoyed the first book, you'll love this one - which focuses on longer style quests, rather than the short excursions seen in the first novel. Another refreshing, entertaining TTRPG-style narrative packed with interesting, unique companions, thoughtful world building, and perhaps the seeds of a deeper narrative arc for future novels to grow on.If the first book was an introduction to the world and characters, this was the first major quest in their campaign.
Lots of character development for our dear Priestess and Goblin Slayer, and we even got to see that even great Heroes like Sword Maiden can get screwed over by the green buggers...Sn interesting case of "what if" had Priestess never met Goblin Slayer and lived.Plus, I love how the guy ruins epic evil schemes without ever noticing.
The story's enjoyable. As Goblin Slayer and co. progress through their adventures, I get pulled deeper into the story. Action and tense moments keep me on the edge of my seat. Great read. High Elf Archer is best girl.
